TT Series - TTW-SA/CA

Low Profile Linear Ball Guides – Flange Type

TT series has a design with four rows of steel balls to bear the load. It makes the linear guide blocks have a high rigidity and load  characteristics. Same with the TO series, TT series also has a four-direction load characteristics and automatic centering functions so that the linear guides can absorb assembly errors of the mounting surface and obtain high-precision requirements as well.

  • TT series also has two types of blocks, flange type and square type.
  • TTW-SA/CA is a linear ball guide with flange-type blocks.
  • -SA means short length blocks, and -CA means a normal length.
  • They have different performances on load capacities.

What is a low-profile ball linear guides?

A low-profile ball linear guide is a linear motion system designed with a reduced mounting height while maintaining reliable load capacity and motion accuracy. It is typically used in applications where installation space is limited, such as compact automation equipment, semiconductor handling systems, inspection machines, and small CNC or pick-and-place modules.

IMTEK TT Series low-profile ball linear guides are engineered to balance space efficiency, rigidity, and smooth rolling motion, making them suitable for designs that cannot accommodate standard-height linear rails.

Design Advantages

Our Advantages

How does the IMTEK TT Series differ from standard ball linear guides?

Compared with standard ball linear guides, the IMTEK TT Series features a lower assembly height and optimized rail–block geometry, allowing designers to reduce the overall machine envelope without sacrificing stability.

The TT Series is optimized for:

  • Compact structural layouts
  • Reduced center of gravity
  • Stable load distribution under limited mounting space

This makes it a preferred solution when machine downsizing, weight reduction, or integration density is a design priority.

Does a low profile linear guide have lower load capacity?

Not necessarily. While low-profile linear guides generally have less vertical space for load support, the IMTEK TT Series is designed with high-precision raceway geometry and optimized ball circulation, ensuring reliable load ratings for compact systems.

In many automation and light-to-medium load applications, TT Series guides provide sufficient dynamic and static load capacity while offering better space utilization than standard-profile rails.

For load-critical applications, IMTEK can assist with rail size selection and load calculations to ensure long-term reliability.

What applications are best suited for TT Series low-profile linear guides?

TT Series low-profile ball linear guides are commonly used in:

  • Compact automation equipment
  • Semiconductor and electronics manufacturing
  • Inspection and vision systems
  • Small CNC machines
  • Packaging and labeling machinery
  • Pick-and-place and transfer units

These applications benefit from smooth linear motion, compact design, and stable positioning accuracy.

Selecting the right low-profile linear guide depends on:

  • Load type and direction
  • Required stroke length
  • Installation space limitations
  • Accuracy and rigidity requirements

IMTEK recommends evaluating these factors early in the design process and working with technical support to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
